My blog...

is now going to be a congregation of random tidbits of my life. At least for now. Until I find something else to post about.

Inglewood: A mix of happy, sad, and bored

I need to post.

I'm happy because I have almost as little homework as elementary school.
I'm sad because I don't get to be with my friends :(
I'm bored because of the homework factor...

...

...OOOOH! I can post more on my blog!!!! ...

I don't have anything to post about. Oh well. I can try, right?

Camping :D

Went camping this weekend...

First day (Friday)

Drove there. Set up tent. I learned that the tent is much easier to set up when there's a person inside xD (Nancy)

Then I ate dinner (instant noodles... what did you expect?).

Then we made a fire with no lighter fluid.

Then I went to the beach to see the sunset and I found a live clam by randomly digging...but I couldn't take it home cause there was a red tide :(

Then I learned that you should NEVER sleep with Nancy when she's sugar high (on marshmallows) because she KICKS. As in HARD. (please, no TWSS)

Second day (Saturday)

I woke up and went outside and ate breakfast. And then we went to the beach again.

I made a seesaw out of logs for Nancy. Then I saw a sign for a beach program at 10, but it was at the Wildlife Theater which I couldn't find until 10:30.

Then Jonathan's family came and we played badminton and went back to the beach.

Then we ate lunch and went into the forest. And we found the cool knotted tree from last year.

And then we went back and roasted marshmallows and made s'mores :D

Then we ate dinner. And I found some berries in the forest that looked like unripe blackberries.

Then we went back to the beach. Apparently someone had tried to blow up water balloons and epic failed, but we figured out how to blow them up. Unfortunately, we could only find seven balloons that weren't broken.

Then we went back to the fire, roasted more marshmallows, and told "horror stories".

Jonathan's first one went something like this:

"There was a guy who went to Walmart because he ran out of toilet paper and he really needed to go to the bathroom. However, they ran out of toilet paper and there were no other stores around. So then he went to look for rubber chickens. However, they had run out of rubber chickens as well. Desperate, he died of shock.

Moral: Always keep your house stocked with plenty of toilet paper and rubber chickens."

...

Then his mom (my aunt) told him that most horror stories went like this:

"On a dark and stormy night, a man was walking when he heard a 'tap, tap, tap...' and then..."

So Jonathan's second story:

"On a dark and stormy night, Barack Obama was walking around the White House when he heard a 'tap, tap, tap...'. However, it was only Michelle Obama coming to tell him dinner was ready.

Moral: If it is a dark and stormy night, and you hear a 'tap, tap, tap', it's not always a bad thing."

So to please Jonathan, I made one:

"It was a dark and stormy night, and a man was walking through the forest. He heard a 'tap, tap, tap' behind him and looked. He saw a dark, imposing figure... It was coming closer and closer. Eventually, it was too much for him. He ran and ran until he emerged from the forest...
...at a Walmart.
He met the guy who was looking for toilet paper and rubber chickens. He watched the man die of shock... just then, the dark and imposing figure emerged too. It happened to be a supplier for Walmart, who was carrying--guess what--toilet paper and rubber chickens."

That one didn't have a moral.

Then I went to bed.

Third day (Sunday)

That day was kind of fuzzy...dunno why. Anyway, I woke up, started packing stuff up, and took down the tent. Then I ate lunch. Somewhere in between I went back to Jonathan's campsite to take down their tent. And some other random things happened...

Then I went home. My dad blocked the internet :( so I couldn't post until today.

Google's April Fools Jokes

Love 'em. They crack me up every year.

Personally, however, I think they should have done one like they did last year. CADIE pretty much spread across every site so it was much more fluid. For example, Gmail is still Gmail, not Tmail. Also, the Gmail missing vowels is kind of flawed; it only misses vowels on the sign-in page; the rest of it is completely full of vowels. (A picture is attached for proof, not that you need any :P). Also, by making one overarching joke, it's so much easier to spread through many sites instead of trying to make a new joke for every one; CADIE was supposedly able to make Chrome appear in 3D, finish your documents for you, code normal text (although that was a complete fail :P), send out emails for you, see underwater, and so much more. However, they didn't need a new entity for every one. Instead, they used the CADIE idea throughout. I would love to see something like that next year, if not exactly a AI, at least something that would span the whole world of Google.

Otherwise, it was awesome. Go Google! :D
